Bud Ecosystem Joins the AMD Instinct™ AI & HPC Software Ecosystem

May 26, 2026

Bengaluru, India : Bud Ecosystem is now an official member of the AMD Instinct™ AI & HPC Software Ecosystem — a milestone that formalizes and deepens our longstanding collaboration with AMD and positions Bud’s enterprise AI management platform alongside the world’s leading AI infrastructure software providers.

What This Means

The AMD Instinct Software Partner Ecosystem brings together a curated group of technology companies whose software is validated, optimized, and co-engineered to run on AMD Instinct™ GPU accelerators and the open-source AMD ROCm™ software stack. As a recognized ecosystem partner, Bud Ecosystem’s full product stack — spanning Bud LayerZero, Bud Runtime, Bud AI Foundry, Bud Model Foundry, Bud MCP Foundry, Bud SENTRY, Bud Studio, and Bud Agent — is now part of this network, available to enterprises and sovereign AI programs deploying on AMD Instinct infrastructure worldwide.

For our customers and partners, this means Bud’s platform is natively aligned with the AMD Instinct hardware-software roadmap — from the MI300X accelerators powering today’s large-scale training and inference workloads, to the next-generation MI400 and MI500 Series GPUs built on AMD CDNA™ architecture.

Built on a Proven Track Record

This recognition builds on real, production-validated work. In 2024–25, Bud Ecosystem trained Hex-1 — India’s first commercially usable open-source Indic large language model — exclusively on AMD Instinct MI300X GPUs running Microsoft Azure instances. That effort, completed in just 65 days, achieved 20–30% faster training using 40% fewer GPUs compared to baseline configurations, and produced a 4-billion-parameter model that outperforms Gemma-2B, LLaMA-3.2-3B, and Sarvam-1 across Hindi, Telugu, and other Indic languages on the MMLU benchmark. AMD published the Bud Ecosystem case study on its own website — a testament to the depth of the partnership.

The open-source philosophy that drives Bud’s approach is a natural fit for ROCm. As our CSO Linson Joseph has noted, the portability and transparency of the ROCm stack gave Bud the confidence to migrate its entire codebase and fully leverage AMD Instinct accelerators — examining kernels directly, contributing to the community, and porting code with minimal effort.

Why It Matters for Enterprise AI

Enterprises adopting AI at scale face a core infrastructure challenge: vendor lock-in, opaque software stacks, and the difficulty of operationalizing GPU resources across training, fine-tuning, and inference workloads. Bud’s inclusion in the AMD Instinct ecosystem directly addresses this by offering:

  • Hardware-agnostic AI orchestration — Bud’s platform manages AI workloads across CPUs, GPUs, HPUs, and NPUs, with deep optimization for AMD Instinct accelerators, enabling enterprises to deploy without single-vendor dependency.
  • Sovereign AI readiness — For government programs and national AI missions, the combination of Bud’s end-to-end AI management stack with AMD’s open ROCm ecosystem provides a transparent, auditable, and locally deployable AI infrastructure path.
  • Production-grade security and compliance — Bud SENTRY delivers sub-10ms guardrails, zero-trust model governance, and 300+ security probes — critical capabilities for regulated industries deploying on high-performance GPU infrastructure.

Looking Ahead

Joining the AMD Instinct Software Ecosystem is not an endpoint — it’s an acceleration. Bud Ecosystem will continue to deepen its integration with the AMD ROCm stack, optimize across the full Instinct accelerator roadmap, and bring enterprise-grade AI management capabilities to an expanding base of AMD-powered deployments across cloud service providers, on-premise data centers, and sovereign AI programs.

We’re proud to stand alongside AMD and the broader Instinct ecosystem in making high-performance AI infrastructure open, accessible, and enterprise-ready.
